Can anybody join?
Yes

Can I join in any time, or have I "missed the boat"?
You can join any time - choose to join in with the current theme, or wait for next week's theme to be published.
When is the new theme published?
Thursday

Who decides the themes?
I have a list of themes and use a program which randomises them. You can suggest a theme by emailing me.

Do I have to enter every week?
No, just enter when you want to, you might not like every theme, or you might be busy...that's fine.

Can I submit older photos that I have lying around?
There's no reason why not, but try not to do that every week because the aim is to use the themes to learn something about photography.

Is there a winner?
No, because the aim is for everyone to learn something about photography, not to find out who's the best :)

About me
I have been a photography addict since I got my first camera at 8 years old. The camera was a hand-me-down, and really old fashioned, but it was perfect for me and soon I was completely hooked on it. My parents still joke that I'll take a photo of anything that moves - though these days I'm more likely to be photographing things that don't move! I don't think I'm very good at photography, but I enjoy it and that's all that counts to me.

In my real life, I'm a metallurgist by day (a scientist who studies metals) and a blog/graphic designer at evenings and weekends. My husband lost his job over a year ago, so I'm bridging the income gap by making money from my graphics. Gotta put those talents to good use LOL.

I'm married and have 1 cat (no kids) and live at the foot of the Pennines.

Where does time go?

Really? I have no idea where time goes! It doesn't seem 2 minutes since I last updated this blog!

Well there hasn't been much time for photography lately with essentially working 2 jobs, but I have been getting some ideas together and I've been keen to try out some tricks that I've seen in various photography magazines.

We just came back from a trip to Lincoln recently and I'll post some of those pics soon. Unfortunately there was restoration work going on at the cathedral and so the pics weren't brilliant.
